Summary/Abstract: Supply chain management is subject to transformations that result from both functional and structural changes. The greatest challenges for maintaining the efficiency of the supply chain processes are mergers and acquisitions, which require deep interference in the structure of the supply chain. In the case of global supply chains, it is worth mentioning that the cultural aspects influence transformation and their pace of introduction. In this chapter we presented the process of taking over the Ukrainian branch of the global production company DEF (a fictitious name) and including it in the management structures of Central Europe (CE).
