Summary/Abstract: The report treat issues related to the history and origins of the European Union's Eurozone; the level and dynamics of the most important macro indicators characterizing the economy of the Euro area and its member states for the period 2009-2018; with the current challenges facing the Eurozone economy since the last global financial and economic crisis, including multi-speed Europe, managing, reform without and with regard to Brexit. The report uses up-to-date statistical information from the World Bank (WB), Eurostat and the European Central Bank (ECB), configured in 6 original tables. For the purposes of the analysis, comparisons are made both by year and period and by country or group of countries within the Euro area, such as the "old" and "new" member states of the European Union /Eurozone; countries of the PIGS/ PIIGS group (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain/Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain) and countries of the SSELL group (Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), etc.
