Summary/Abstract: Rapid advances in information and communication technologies (ICT) have added a new dimension to jobs and occupations, making them more flexible and allowing workers to perform their duties anytime, anywhere. In addition, the rapid process of digitalisation and related new technologies have significant effects on the labor market, including the emergence of new forms of employment and the development of employment through digital platforms. These phenomena have their advantages and disadvantages for workers. This report examines and analyzes the positive and negative effects of new forms of employment and the social challenges to their spread.
