Summary/Abstract: The report researches the labor productivity in the context of Bulgarian economy with the objective to establish the trends in its development in the recent few years. A comparative analysis has been carried out on the methods and the limitations of the estimation of labor productivity and its relation to the economic efficiency, the business cycle as well as other macroeconomic indicators. A leading trend in the development of labor productivity in Bulgaria has been identified through the application of statistical methods. Estimates have been made on the future values of labor productivity up until year 2024 providing that the established patterns persist.
