Summary/Abstract: The research aims to understand the specifics of craft beer in the context of urban craft. In the last decade, the production and consumption of the so-called “craft beers” are gaining popularity in Bulgaria. This new phenomenon is also associated with the imposition of a specific culture of consumption and production ethics, which are defined as craft beer culture. This emerging culture of production and consumption is characterized by the imposition of a new business model that is based on shared knowledge, close relationships between brewers, mutual sharing of experience and often joint projects. Another specificity is the development of market relationships, in which consumer-user relationships are shortened and become more and more immediate. The industry is based on traditional knowledge and innovation, as well as close producer-consumer relationships. The paper will trace the development of craft beer culture in Bulgaria.
