Summary/Abstract: In this paper we presented the first anthology of Bosniak literature Biserje in which Alija Isaković offered to the public a representative selection of Bosniak literature from its beginnings to the modern moment. It is especially significant that in the introductory part he established the first solid foundation and model for modern study of Bosniak literature as a separate body of literature, equal to Serbian and Croatian. In an anthological selection Isaković manages to capture the most aesthetically relevant texts of different genres in both synchronic and diachronic axis. With a model of representing top literary quality, he emphasizes the model of creatively stimulating continuity: oral literature, older literature (in Oriental languages and alhamijado literature), the literature of Polet and Let and contemporary literature.
