Summary/Abstract: During the last 20 years, the EU has managed to achieve a relatively high extent of coordination of its economic policy, despite significant differences in the development of the Member States, the financial crisis at the turn of the century, and dynamic geopolitical processes worldwide. However, in the last year and a half a new unknown challenge has arisen with a major impact on the Union‘s economic results – the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the report is to present research done by the author, concerning the development of the European Single Market in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic.
