Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the syntactic nature of the infinitive in the comparative aspect. The goal of the study is to identify cases of divergence in the use of the infinitive as various parts of a sentence in the positional structure of a Russian and Czech sentence. Examples taken from the Russian Language National Corpus and the Czech National Corpus served as the material for the study.
