Summary/Abstract: Sudoku is a worldwide phenomenon, which is being solved by many people. This puzzle became famous thanks to its easy rules and a possibility of solving it virtually anywhere, anytime. We also see sudoku as an interesting way to make math teaching more attractive and funnier. In this paper we will look closely at the history of sudoku and the possibilities of online and offline solving. Then we will show its diversity (sudoku variants) and finally we will show the math hidden in this puzzle.
