Summary/Abstract: The field of didactics of mathematics, natural sciences and vocational education is an important area of education and training. Its importance is growing over time and, given the results of measuring different areas of pupil literacy, it can be assumed that it will not be otherwise in the future. The International Conference on Didactics, organized by the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University, DTI University and The Unity of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists branch office Brno, is an important platform for sharing and developing the area of common interests of experts. The conference proceedings provide an overview of both the theoretical and practical problems in education, focusing on didactics of the above mentioned fields of study, and sharing good practice.

- Summary/Abstract:In this talk we will explore how we through history can invite students into the "lab" of mathematics where mathematical knowledge is created. We will address questions such as: How can students be brought in contact with mathematical research? How can they obtain insights into how mathematics is generated and developed? How can they come to identify and reflect upon activities that mathematicians engage in while conducting research? We use the term inquiry-reflective learning environment to designate a learning environment that provides opportunities for students to gain such kinds of insights, and we will illustrate how such learning environments can be established through history and working with original sources. Two examples from tertiary and secondary education respectively will be used as concrete examples: (1) Experiences from the mathematics program at Roskilde University in Denmark with problem-oriented project learning and (2) and experimental course on the history of the function concept that was taught over a couple of weeks in an ordinary Danish high school.

- Summary/Abstract:In the contribution, the authors deal with the issue of cheating pupils at schools. Cheating is an unacceptable phenomenon in schools, but despite this, he is not given enough seriousness. Contributors attempt to contribute to addressing this issue by identifying views and attitudes of pupils and teachers on school fraud. They present the basic ideas of a research project on creating a questionnaire for pupils as a primary research tool. The contribution reveals the results of a pilot research, which will be followed by the research of school cheating covered by the KEGA grant agency in the Slovak Republic.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper describes a small case study on using Minecraft during a course at Pacinotti-Archimede High School, where the students created their own 3D games in Minecraft. It was not just about using a modern tool, but we could also see several principles of modern education. The course merged two major topics of contemporary education - computational thinking and learning about sustainable development. Pupils in the course were enabled to unleash their creative potential as they become creators of a meaningful game and designers of a better world. Learning was based on collaboration. The case study presented may be an inspiration for similar use of Minecraft in formal or non-formal education.

- Keywords:linear diophantine equations; number theory; Matlab; Fermat's Last Theorem;
- Summary/Abstract:Instead of his age (84), the epitaph on Diophantine's tomb states a polynomial expression with one unknown, which represents his age: "This is Diophantine's tomb. The inscription on the tomb reveals his age. God vouchsafed that he should be a boy for the sixth part of his life. When a twelfth was added, his cheeks acquired a beard. He kindled for him the light of marriage after a seventh. In the fifth year after his marriage He granted him a son. Alas! late-begotten and miserable child, when he had reached the measure of half his father's life, the chill grave took him. After consoling his grief by this science of numbers for four years, he reached the end of his life." Diophantus was one of the first mathematicians who significantly contributed to the number theory, and particularly to the solution of equations. This paper deals with a special type of equations – the so-called linear diophantine equations with two unknowns – which we can use to solve many practical problems in various areas of contemporary mathematics. In the current paper, we present some interesting examples of these issues and their possible implementation into the Matlab computing environment, which can be used when teaching the number theory and discrete mathematics. The paper also discusses probably the most important diophantine equation in the history of mathematics – the Fermat's Last Theorem – which was introduced by the French lawyer and mathematician Pierre de Fermat, and verified only at the end of the 20th century.

- Keywords:didactic interactivity; interaction strategies; school cheating;
- Summary/Abstract:Didactic interactivity is actually a mutual communication between a teacher and a pupil. It is like feedback on what is happening in the classroom. If there is good communication between the two, there is no reason to cheat. It is like feedback on what is happening in the classroom. However, if a pupil feels that communication is bound somewhere, in most cases the pupil runs to cheat. The question arises why, for example, in a written test, or even orally, a pupil is deceiving.

- Summary/Abstract:How to classify a pupil who cheats for lessons? It is important to find the answer why the pupil cheats and what leads him to do so. There are traditional and non-traditional forms of school cheating, but also so-called plagiarism not only in mathematics. Didactic interactivity enables two-way communication between pupil and teacher. These are all the activities that take place in the teaching process and thus the cheating. If the teacher and the pupil do not know each other and the pupil wants to have a positive assessment and results, he / she starts with illegal communication and cheating.
