Summary/Abstract: In my paper I want to draw your attention to an information about activites of Society for Music Education in this period. I will present the opinion of the Czech Music Teaching Society directed to reviewing the reform in progress – Standards for music education. I would encourage wider discussion that should define the goals of the Music for the next term and concept of music education in general. Another point of my contribution is viewing the preparation of future teachers at the Pedagogical Faculty, further training of teachers in general and results of 1st Music Olympiad Czech Republic 2018.
