Summary/Abstract: In our contribution we focus on the description, analysis of the teaching of mathematics and the work of some personalities of Slovak mathematics during their work at the universities in Trnava and Košice in the 18 th century. They are mathematicians, teachers and their knowledge and experience can be usefull in teacher training of the future maths teachers and as an added value to education knowledge of these group of students.
