Summary/Abstract: In 2010, during the traditional Kosztolányi Dezső Days in Szabadka (Subotica), we organized an international scientific discussion in the spirit of the literary translation; the theme of the conference appeared in the edition of the City Library with the title Faithful to whom or what. This lecture expatiates on the scientific problems brought up during the discussion, as well as, on the Serbian Lark translation involved there, though the examination of the German novel translations are in the focus. The three German Lark translators are: Klaus Schmuck (1970), Christina Viragh (2007), and Heinrich Eisterer (2007).
