Summary/Abstract: Tabloids draw public through titles which have an anticipative role regarding the contents of the article and are characterized by marks of perception such as iată, uite, and deictic elements as acum, aici – evidential of the source of knowledge. Their aim is to give more credibility to the information, transforming the reader into a witness of the journalist’s perception. But the title lacks epistemic elements such as cognitive (a crede) or inferential (e posibil, se poate, poate că) expressions because that would complicate the understanding and would question the veracity of the information.
