Summary/Abstract: Our interdisciplinary research focuses on the issue of naming plants and botanical nomenclature. The names of plants can be identified in numerous and various sources, and they have been in use since ancient times. We aim to present the most important steps in the evolution of botanical nomenclature, and some aspects of spelling and translation regarding a corpus containing plant names in three languages: Hungarian, Romanian and English.
