Summary/Abstract: The aim of this contribution is to find the similarities, same features and differences in the Plans of economic and social development in the field of social services of two self-governing regions: Trenčín self-governing region and Banská Bystrica self-governing region. The methods used in the contribution include the comparison, the study of literature, the documents and text analysis. The basic resources used in our contribution include a Plan of economic and social development of Banská Bystrica self-governing region and Plan for economic and social development of Trenčín selfgoverning region. The main results and the conclusions we achieved, cover the similarities and differences in these documents. The difference lies in the title of the corresponding chapter as well as in the division of the chapters into parts. The similarities include the extent of the chapter and the presence of statistical data
