Summary/Abstract: The report is devoted to the evaluation-reflection in the meaning of the word logical and philosophical category of value. Evaluation is considered as one of the components of connotation along with emotionality – reflection in the meaning of the word psychological categories (emotions, feelings, moods), manifested in the expression of emotional attitude of the subject (speaking or writing) to the object, causing him positive/negative feelings (‘pleasure’ – ‘displeasure’, ‘acceptance’ – ‘repulsion’). Identify the differential features of these closely related yet not identical components of connotative meaning. Evaluation and emotionality are separated from expressiveness – the expression of the meaning of ‘very’, that is, from the manifestation of not qualitative but quantitative attitude, which, according to the author, is included in the denotative value, as well as from the functional and stylistic characteristics relating not to the semasiological but to the sociolinguistic sphere. The status of imagery as a phenomenon of semantic derivation, the production of portable values, which does not apply to connotation («co-values»), although it is one of the means of generating evaluation. Deals with the connection semantics evaluation with a descriptive (informative) value. The author believes that these syncretic phenomena are part of a special lexico-semantic category – sinkretsemia.
