Summary/Abstract: The concept of crisis is defined as “unstable conditions involving sudden or decisive changes, such as in political, social or economic events” (Brockner & James, 2008). According to another definition, crisis; It emerges as a situation that threatens the primary goals of the organization, that time is scarce to prevent the crisis, that surprises decision makers when it occurs, and therefore creates a very strong stress (Hermann, 1972). Crisis; It is also defined as a state of tension that cannot be noticed before, that requires organizations to intervene quickly, that threatens the current values, goals and assumptions of the organization by disabling and inadequate the prevention and adaptation mechanisms (Tağraf & Arslan, 2003). The effects of the crisis can be encountered in ways that extend to individual (a serious illness, failure, etc.), organizational (economic crises, etc.) and social (corruption, epidemics, etc.) dimensions. Despite all these negativities, if crises are handled appropriately, they can make the organization or its components better than before (Brockner & James, 2008). Crisis; It is also used as a combination of two sentences that complement each other, albeit in the form of "a transformation that results in destruction" or "transition to an advanced, advanced stage". Baltas, 2004). Well; A well-managed crisis (for example, a crisis in which managers perceive the opportunity provided) will bring about positive organizational change (Brockner & James, 2008). The way to manage the crisis well depends on how we position ourselves in the face of the crisis and how long we can stand, our efficiency in understanding the crisis, making decisions and practices (Baltaş, 2004).
