- Summary/Abstract:In this chapter, the presence of women and the absence in the technology sector have been discussed and explained in different dimensions. As with all other problems related to women, this situation, which can basically be described as a gender problem, has trapped women/femininity in a paradox for centuries. And this paradox is a reality that women have been trying to overcome alone for centuries. In this section, the phenomenon of technology is defined by associating it with science and explaining why it is perceived as a masculine field. Then, the approaches deciphering the relationship between technology and gender phenomena have discussed. An attempt has been made to summarize feminist technology research, which is considered a sine qua non. The presence of women in the technology sector and the current problems have been elaborated. The main national and international organizations that will increase the presence of women in the technology sector have been tried to be introduced. As a result, “why are there so few women in tech?” the fact that not only women researchers but also industry and policy makers and practitioners should frequently ask and seek answers to this question has one of the main results of this study, and the study has concluded with the hope of leaving a question mark in the minds with the suggestions developed.

- Summary/Abstract:When the studies on personality are examined, it is seen that most of them are examined with the bright side of personality. However, in 2002, after Paulhus and Williams used the concept of dark personality traits (Paulhus and Williams, 2002: 557) to describe the malevolent side of human nature, scientists began to investigate the dark side of personality. When the literature is examined, it is seen that narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy are called the "dark triad". Dark triad personality traits seem to be effective on individual behavior. This effect is negative in terms of individual, organizational and social aspects. Necessary strategies must be developed to prevent or reduce this negative effect. From this point of view, it is seen that the concept of "dark triad" has attracted attention in the literature and various studies have been done. The three personality traits, narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy, which are discussed under the title of the Dark Triad, are defined within the framework of previous studies, and studies in the field are summarized in terms of their similarities and differences.

- Summary/Abstract:The human being is highly qualified, with the ability to think and speak, and has free will. The most important features that distinguish humans from other living things are their mental power and emotions. With the increasing importance of information in the competitive business world, the importance given to people and human emotions has increased. Emotions are subjective and abstract expressions that are not uniform, complex, multifaceted, or the same from person to person. In emotional labor, the individual makes different emotional displays to the external environment by masking her own true feelings. The focus of these behaviors is on how individuals display the behaviors expected of them in their working lives and how they adapt to these behaviors. If emotional labor behaviors are felt deeply and sincerely, they increase individual performance and self-efficacy. It is stated that this provides a great advantage in terms of achieving the corporate goals and objectives of the organization and providing financial benefits by increasing customer satisfaction in terms of corporate. However, emotional labor behaviors may cause some undesirable situations for employees, especially in sectors where competition is intense and employee compensation is made in proportion to performance. Employees display their feelings toward the organization in three ways: surface behavior, in-depth behavior, and sincere behavior. It has been seen that the variables that emotional labor is most compared to are stress, job satisfaction, intention to leave, motivation, burnout, alienation, performance, economic benefit, and commitment to the organization. It is important to implement strategies such as determining the causes of emotional labor that lead individuals to superficial behavior in working life, increasing the awareness of employees on this issue, improving emotional labor internal communication and working conditions, paying attention to the balance of justice within the organization, providing social support to employees, and reducing stress factors arising from the working environment.

- Summary/Abstract:Although organizational politics is an inevitable and natural phenomenon of organizational life, this issue is not given due importance in organizational studies. Most of the existing studies, on the other hand, approach the organizational politics from a narrow and negative perspective. Politics as a phenomenon contains dilemmas, confusion and different views. Since politics generally has negative connotations as a concept, studies on organizational politics have mostly been discussed in terms of its effect on negative performance indicators, but according to the way it is implemented, politics can actually produce positive or negative results. The important point here is to focus on how it can be implemented to the benefit of the organization, based on the fact that politics is not a negative concept at its core. Increasing the studies in this field in the literature is important in terms of reducing this confusion in the future and at the same time enriching organizational politics literature.

The purpose of this review is to provide an understanding of the way employees form attributions about their organizations as a whole. To clarify the application of attribution theory in an organizational context, specific elements that constitute organizations are taken into consideration. Integrating these organizational elements and their attributional implications is aimed to ensure a comprehensive insight into organizations from an attributional standpoint. In addition to providing an integrative approach concerning the current literature on organizational attributions, this review contributes to the literature by combining organizational elements in consideration of their attributional outcomes.

- Summary/Abstract:Many of us decorate the dreams of most of us, such as climbing Everest, rafting on the Zambezi River, going to ski in Palandöken, safari in Africa and having a sports car. How many of us have economic opportunities to realize our dreams? Many of us try to make career planning in order to make our dreams come true, but few of these plans develop in the direction we want. However, our persistence to follow our personal vision and the courage to depend on the goals we set will help us reach their relatives, even if not exactly the point we dream of. For this reason, our career planning should be shaped before university education. The fact that the pre -university education system in our country does not help and does not take into account our career plans constitutes the biggest obstacle in this way, but puts the realities of what kind of career we can do after our university education. For this reason, the question “I wonder where should I start” occupies us for a long time.

- Summary/Abstract:Companies try to stay competitive by taking internationalization steps in today's global business environment. Companies that prefer the internationalization path can use the competitive advantages arising from the factors in their own countries. In addition, they can decide to position their activities in their value chains in a country or region where they can carry out their activities most effectively and efficiently by using international value networks. There are four strategies that they will implement in line with the decision they have taken; these are simple export, complex export, multidomestic strategy, or global strategies. Several important factors affect the strategies companies implement in entering foreign markets: the previous experience of companies in international markets, the uncertainty they perceive, and, therefore, the risk ratio. At the same time, as a result of their increasing experience, the risk perceptions of companies decrease, and their control ratios increase in their operations abroad. As a result of examining the factors found in the literature, a model of four independent variables that affect the choice of international strategies of manufacturing companies has been created. In this model, Porter's (1986) strategies, adapted by Johnson et al. (2008), are used, but different variables are chosen. These variables are market uncertainty, the firm's experience level, cooperation rate indicating the rate of doing business with foreign partners, and market dissimilarity. Finally, the proposed model was evaluated, the limitations of the model were stated, and opinions were shared about how internationalization would evolve and how companies would be affected.

Crisis; It is also defined as a state of tension that cannot be noticed before, that requires organizations to intervene quickly, that threatens the current values, goals and assumptions of the organization by disabling and inadequate the prevention and adaptation mechanisms (Tağraf & Arslan, 2003). The effects of the crisis can be encountered in ways that extend to individual (a serious illness, failure, etc.), organizational (economic crises, etc.) and social (corruption, epidemics, etc.) dimensions. Despite all these negativities, if crises are handled appropriately, they can make the organization or its components better than before (Brockner & James, 2008). Crisis; It is also used as a combination of two sentences that complement each other, albeit in the form of "a transformation that results in destruction" or "transition to an advanced, advanced stage". Baltas, 2004). Well; A well-managed crisis (for example, a crisis in which managers perceive the opportunity provided) will bring about positive organizational change (Brockner & James, 2008). The way to manage the crisis well depends on how we position ourselves in the face of the crisis and how long we can stand, our efficiency in understanding the crisis, making decisions and practices (Baltaş, 2004).

- Summary/Abstract:From a macroeconomic point of view, inputs such as capital, labor and land are at the forefront of the elements that make up any organization. Apart from these, the entrepreneurial spirit stands out as an important motivation. On the other hand, in the globalizing world, branding and commercial partnership are important for the competitiveness and sustainability of companies. This situation becomes increasingly important in terms of macroeconomic crises and competition. In this respect, the global dimension and success of brands necessitate brand mergers and alliances. In this context, brand management gains a corporate and global dimension. In addition, in the globalizing world, especially in developed and industrialized countries, brands tend to acquire the "super brand" feature by merging or forming alliances. An example of this is the merger of brands such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Oculus VR under the "Meta" brand in the social media field. In the aviation sector, on the other hand, the tendency to establish a "brand alliance" such as a "star alliance" gains importance instead of combining brands under the same company.

- Keywords:Logistic enterprises; ICT systems; gaining competetive advantage;
- Summary/Abstract:In recent years, the changes in the logistics sector have accelerated and competition has moved to international arena. The concept of customer oriented strategy development has become the main factor in the logistics sector as a result of development of supply demand balance in favor of supply, just as in every sector. Today, the logistics sector has a young and dynamic structure with little spatial affiliation to service production. The most important strategic investment on the information and communication technologies ensures that costs are constantly considered, that there is no business flow complexity, that communications take place instantaneously and that, as a result, rapid decision making and customer and employee satisfaction are at the highest level in terms of providing logistics services. Put in a simplistic expression, the logistics companies need to compete against competitors and become successful in the sector they are. The most important mistakes made while trying to realize the target are to take a persistent attitude on maintaining the traditional management approach, to be closed to the improvements and the innovations, to take the example of the best company in the sector, and to create certain processes by using conventional expressions of mission and vision. At the same time, this situation prevents the enterprises or companies from determining his / her own internal dynamics in determining their targets and the strategies appropriate for their structure. On the contrary, logistics enterprises will be able to increase their competitiveness levels by creating a radical strategic management thought that is primarily the focus of restructuring on issues such as process management open to the innovations and changes, lean manufacturing and total quality management. A qualitative study was conducted with this study and the obtained data were evaluated by means of descriptive data analysis. In this study, the problems usually encountered by the companies operating in the logistics sector are discussed, the importance of creating a strategy against these problems is emphasized and the benefits of investments on the information and communication technologies in creating a strategy in establishing competitive advantage against their competitors are evaluted.
