Summary/Abstract: Anxiety is one of the emotional factors found to have a significant influence on L2 learning. Brown (1994) underlined that when students seek to learn a foreign language, they frequently form a new identity and begin to consider themselves differently than they truly are. In other words, they develop a more reserved, shy, and frail attitude. This is one of the reasons why some students view learning a foreign language as an anxiety-inducing experience. As a result, Horwitz, Cope, and Horwitz (1991) assert that FL is one of the most anxiety-inducing lessons in schools.
