Summary/Abstract: This chapter explores how management research in the Indian context can contribute to better understanding and solving business and societal challenges. Herein, twelve articles are presented that collectively illustrate the emerging research insights for business and society as seen from the country of India perspective. To do so, this article proposes an integrative framework that categorizes emergent learning (from an Indian perspective) regarding the challenges faced by business and society. Based on this framework, key insights are identified. As a logical extension to this collection of work, this chapter also identifies six future research directions along the following three key areas: diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and the implementation of sustainable practices. These research directions are expected to sustain the growth of emergent research in the Indian context.
