Summary/Abstract: AbstractCybercrime, including ransomware, malware, spam and other typologies, is a growing concern in India, affecting individuals, businesses and the government. In order to effectively address related risks, a thorough understanding of the distribution and pattern of cybercrime is necessary. This white paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of its rates in different states, using clustering techniques. The objective is to group regions with similar cybercrime rates and identify areas with high concentrations. The study employs a data-driven approach, using official information on reported cybercrime incidents, including ransomware, malware, scam and other typologies. The analysis aims to provide valuable insights into the current state of cybercrime and help policymakers, law enforcement agencies and businesses to develop targeted strategies for prevention and mitigation of such crimes and risks.
