Summary/Abstract: Human resources are the main and most important component of any economic system. Тhe availability of modern equipment and accompanying modern technologies in the transport sector is not a sufficient condition for realizing the presetted goals. The lack of well-qualified and motivated personnel significantly affects the achievement of the set tasks. The presence of well-trained, qualified and motivated personnel is a prerequisite to relatively easily overcome the new challenges the transport industry is facing. The purpose of the present article is to discover the main challenges in the development of human resources in the transport sector in the context of various crises - health, energy and economic. The results of the research show that a change in work processes is necessary when carrying out the transport activity. The impact of the Covid pandemic over the last two years, which accelerated digitization in the sector and changed the skills needed by transport workers, is also examined.
