Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the Financial Supervision Commission in Bulgaria has expanded the range of published data, which facilitate the analysis of the insurance activity through the prism of the used distribution channels. The essence and peculiarities of insurance require its theoretical, practical and normative distinction – sector “Life insurance” and sector “Non-life insurance”. The results of the analysis show differences in the use of the distribution channels of insurances and make it possible to highlight specifics and outline certain trends.
