Summary/Abstract: This report aims at tracing and making an analysis of the changes in the level of minimum wage in Bulgaria over the past two decades, outlining the main factors in this regard. A special focus will be placed on the efforts of the policy makers and social partners related to the development and adoption of a mechanism for determining the minimum wage in the country. The report will conclude with the identifying the prospects and challenges associated with the introduction of an objective and reliable mechanism for the formation and adjustment of the minimum wage in Bulgaria.
