Summary/Abstract: The report aims to present the change in demand by users of insurance services as a form of additional social protection. The change is dictated by the new realities – a pandemic, increasing the use of services virtually and at the level of digitalization. On the other hand, an attempt will be made to describe the response of insurers in the Bulgarian insurance market, forced to accelerate the digitization of their activities, changing their processes while guaranteeing quality without violating the rights of the insured.
