Summary/Abstract: The teacher’s activity, including his/her interpersonal behaviour, interaction skills and competence, is of decisive importance for the effectiveness of teaching and learning. Interaction can be understood as a two-way, interpersonal communication. In the present study, the focus is on the interpersonal behaviour model based on the personality theory (IPC-T) developed by Wubbels and his colleagues. Questionnaires (QTI, QSI) have also been developed for this model. Through this, eight different styles of teacher communication were identified, and their characterization is described in this paper. In the context of the discussion of teacher communication during the tutorials, concrete examples of each type will be presented.
