Summary/Abstract: ABSTRACT In this report, I follow the history of US morning television, choosing to focus on two major competitors in the US morning television, Today and Good Morning America. In the following lines, I look at the history of the two morning TV shows from their launch on air to their development today. The main part of the report is to provide a comparative analysis between the two programs, paying attention to the results achieved over the years, which are measured on television by rating. The focus is on the development of the two morning TV shows historically, the formation of trends in the structure of programs and their segments, their positioning in different time zones of America, viewing the audience and finally comparing the ratings of the two broadcasts, both in terms of general viewership and in terms of their dominance by age groups.
