Summary/Abstract: Criminology as a science has a well-founded scientific and theoretical base that has had a progressive development in the last 50 years, and the result of such prosperity of this science are numerous criminological scientific disciplines that arose in the last century. The dysfunctionality of society and the new forms of crime that are expanding make greater demands on criminology as a science to respond to such changes. Numerous empirical studies in this area indicate that criminology is very successful in keeping pace with changes and monitors, analyzes and suppresses numerous sociological factors that influence the occurrence of criminality, especially in societies undergoing transition. In such circumstances, the development of science is very significant both from the social and scientific aspects. The work indicated that criminology, although a relatively young science, keeps pace with social achievements, but also with all those negative phenomena that follow such societies, first of all we mean the suppression and prevention of such criminal phenomena.
