Summary/Abstract: The REPowerEU plan aims to rapidly reduce the EU’s dependence on Russian fossil fuels by accelerating the clean energy transition and joining efforts to achieve a more sustainable energy system and a true Energy Union. The plan envisages actions aimed at: energy savings; supply diversification; rapidly replacing fossil fuels by accelerating Europe’s transition to clean energy; smart combination of investments and reforms.
