Summary/Abstract: The paper's main objective was an investigation of the hypothesis about conditional convergence among the V4 regions. For this purpose, cross-sectional data on the regional NUTS3 level were used for 2004-2020. The results found evidence about the conditional convergence, which should be a ground for the V4 becoming the entire convergence club within the EU. However, a more detailed analysis revealed persistent regional disparities among the regions. The Polish regions achieved the highest economic growth, and the Hungarian earned the lowest. The capital regions maintain their position as economic leaders. The V4 countries could strengthen their cross-border cooperation to help poorer regions overcome their marginal position.
