Summary/Abstract: This research aims to explore the challenges faced by enterprises in the SME sector regarding high-risk applications regulated in the new European Union regulatory proposal on artificial intelligence (AI). High-risk applications as well as challenges to high-risk systems are presented sequentially. The benefits and advantages for SMEs are stated as a conclusion.
