Summary/Abstract: The report presents a brief introduction to the process of the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the North Atlantic Treaty, as well as a retrospective of the participation of Bulgarian military contingents in missions and operations abroad before and after the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to NATO. In the conclusion, a small part of the evidence presenting the Republic of Bulgaria as a reliable partner of NATO and the EU is indicated.
