Summary/Abstract: In the era of globalization, international security depends to a great extent, if not primarily, on regional security. In turn, regional security is dependent on the environment of economic, political and social stability, existing both at the regional level and in the national space of each state in the area. The degree of diversification and deepening of relations between states determines an amplification and nuance of diplomatic actions, and the bi- and multilateral approaches of the states of the international community to be included in the fundamental objective of the UN Charter, to maintain international peace and security. In this article, we aim to briefly present not only the sources of regional instability, but also the steps that Romanian diplomacy undertakes to maintain regional security and stability.
