Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to present the results of a study on changes within the frame of vaccination (IT: vaccinazione, PL: szczepienie) that have occurred as a consequence of institutional social communication related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The concept of frame is understood as a way of categorizing in the reality and a method used for localizing the meaning of the concept under consideration, according to Charles Fillmore’s theory of semantics of understanding. Two sets of advertisements published in 2021 by Italian and Polish public institutions (the Ministry of Health, the Council of Ministers), as part of campaigns promoting vaccination against Covid-19, are compiled. By creating the corpus of texts for analysis, these advertisements form the basis of the linguistic measures which reflect the widening of the considered frame.
