Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the characteristics of the President of the Republic of Poland as an entity obliged to make public information available, with consideration of the nature of information related to the exercising of his prerogatives. Furthermore, the paper discusses the issue of possible criminal liability based on Article 23 of the Act on Access to Public Information, as well as considers the issue of the obligation of persons holding the office of the President to make information available after the end of their term of office. For this purpose, the provisions of legal acts, as well as the views of the judicature and the doctrine were analyzed.
