One of the regions with institutional concepts similar to the Polish ones is South Korea. Korean system, although similar in several respects, is often assessed more positively than the Polish one. The aim of this article is to describe the similarities and differences between the Polish and the South Korean systems of monument protection and to indicate the solutions adopted in the Republic of Korea, which could potentially constitute a model to improve the domestic regulations in this area.
