Summary/Abstract: The publication addresses the issue of the current regulatory environment of forms of nature conservation in Poland, with particular emphasis on the principles of their establishment and elimination. It aims to identify the key issues in this regard and to indicate de lege ferenda postulates, which, in the author’s opinion, can lead to more effective nature protection in Poland. In the first part of the paper, individual forms of nature protection are presented together with the comments and postulates related to them, while in the second part, proposals formulated in the literature on the subject concerning nature protection in Poland as a system and ways to improve it are discussed.
