Summary/Abstract: The electronic waybill (E-CMR) is an electronic version of the traditional paper waybill that is used when transporting goods in the European Union. Although E-CMR has many advantages, there are also some difficulties associated with its implementation. These difficulties include a lack of uniform standardization, technical difficulties, lack of trust, lack of training and information, legal issues, and data security. The implementation of E-CMR requires well-developed technical solutions and data storage infrastructure, which can be difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, a lack of trust on the part of transport companies and their customers, as well as a lack of training and information, can be problems. Some EU countries do not yet recognize E-CMR, which can lead to legal problems when transporting goods across borders. Data security is also an important aspect of E-CMR implementation.
