Summary/Abstract: The text defines the concept of competencies and analyses existing classifications of them. On this basis, a procedure for developing competencies of the future is proposed, which takes into account projected changes in the world economy, demographics, educational structure, immigration policy, and quality of life and health. The result is an original classification of the competencies of the future, with a division into basic and specialized competencies, which are to be achieved mainly to individual competencies.
