Summary/Abstract: This article presents the issue of the social economy as a workplace for young people. The situation of young people on the labour market, which takes into account the situation of the NEET generation is discussed, along with research findings. The concept of social economy is presented in relation to the challenges of the labour market, its legal circumstances, its functions, and the possibilities of functioning in it. Subsequently, the author presents forms of vocational activation in the social economy entities, with references to young people as a category.
