Summary/Abstract: The text reflects on the psychosocial risks present in the work of university teachers. It considers the university environment as a constantly adapting system of dependencies, in which potentially stressful factors can precipitate occupational stress and contribute to the development of burnout. These factors are defined and categorized, distinguishing those of organizational, social and individual origin. The direct and indirect significance of national and global events that can affect teaching and teaching and research staff is also highlighted.
