Summary/Abstract: Between politics and the public stands the media as an intermediary. In addition to traditional media, social networks are also becoming an intermediary, where every politician now maintains a profile and addresses online users. However, behind the SOL networks, artificial intelligence stands in the shadows – an algorithm that hides the risks of uncritical presentation of political messages and creates the danger of manipulation. The Cambridge Analytica case is a case in point. After investigations, it turned out that the company had gotten hold of the data of thousands of Facebook users, and with the help of the social network algorithm had influenced presidential elections around the world.
