Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on traditional book publishing and the new digital opportunities in three main aspects: publishing products, publishing process, and communication. The methodology includes the document-descriptive method used in the analysis of scientific sources and a summary of empirical data. It is shown that digitalization had a positive impact on traditional book publishing: EPUB is the most common format for e-books. Thanks to the latest version 3.3 we could create e-books for readers with different needs. Audiobooks are the fastest growing segment in book publishing. Electronic signatures and document signing platforms save time and money. And the biggest opportunity for book publishing is the integration of all the necessary software products into a customized system created for the needs of research, production, and distribution- ERP.
