Summary/Abstract: The article explores the new legal mechanisms and instruments developed specifically to safeguard freedom of expression in the digital realm. The current study focuses on the delicate balance between freedom of expression and online regulation in the 昀椀eld of digital services, consumers’ rights on the digital market, and the new challenges, that artificial intelligence (AI) stipulates. A special focus is the internet intermediaries and content moderation and its legal basis and legal tendencies, based on the European Union law and more precisely the new European Media Freedom Act, the Digital Services Act, and the Digital Markets Act. The article further discusses potential avenues for legal development in the field of AI and the main tendencies in the decisions of the court in the field of AI copyright. It includes an exploration of emerging trends, technologies, and policy considerations that may shape the future of digital liberties.
