Summary/Abstract: Tourism represents a continuously growing sector of the economy and is often considered as a partial solution to the economic problems existing in a territory, and as a tool to increase the employment levels of a given area. These are some of the reasons why the tourism sector has been the subject of government grants. The aim of this chapter is to realize a preliminary evaluation of the impact, in economic-social terms, of grant policies in Apulia in favour of operators in the tourism sector. In particular, the analysis focuses on the effects deriving from the implementation, in the 2014-2020 period, of the financial instrument called Title II Tourism Sector, by the Apulian regional system through the regional in-house agency Puglia Sviluppo.
