Summary/Abstract: In this study, we aim to address the concept of linguistic repertoire in language teaching. We do so with a view to identifying the main paradigm shifts that have taken place over time in terms of attitudes towards concepts such as linguistic repertoire, linguistic competence, correctness, and error, bearing in mind that the linguistic repertoire model is making an ever-growing career in current sociolinguistics, with repercussions on proximate areas such as language-teaching didactics and/or methodology.
