Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author dwells on a very interesting and important question: what is the place and role of dialects in our modern times and is it permissible to use them today as resources and terminology. At first glance, this question seems strange, but it is becoming more and more relevant, especially considering the uncontrolled and increasingly massive invasion of our vocabulary and terminology by absolutely unnecessary and superfluous foreign words. Of course, this issue is complex and controversial. There are different opinions on it, and perhaps there cannot be a definite and unequivocal answer. But it should be brought to the attention of linguists, at least because it is the duty of all scientists and intellectuals to save the Bulgarian vocabulary in general and the Bulgarian terminology in particular from their de-Bulgarianization.
