Summary/Abstract: This article is a literature review on the main changes in education, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The lockdown and the social restrictions imposed the transition from classical, face-to-face, to online education, increase in the use of techonology in education, spreading of online courses. Digital inequalities, appropriateness of some distance learning methods for pupils, the issues caused by medical conditions of students and their family members represented other challenges addressed to the educational system. Some scholars stated that the coronavirus has created “a set of unprecedented natural experiments”. What can we learn from this crisis? Which are the benefits and which are the weaknesses of the educational system the pandemic has shown? What changes will remain in education after the Covid pandemic? Did these changes generate progress, stagnation or regression in the educational system? These are some of the questions we set out to answer.
