Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to address the issue of domestic violence within the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a brief overview of the domestic and international legal frameworks for the prevention and protection against domestic violence. It will explore the available support options for victims of violence and the approach of the support system for those exposed to violence, with a particular focus on youth. Additionally, the goal is to provide young individuals with insights and new knowledge regarding the risks of violence, the consequences of growing up in a household where violence is present, the effects of violence on intimate relationships, and ways to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of violence. The paper will also focus on the role of professionals in recognizing the violence that youth face, as well as how they can provide support and assistance.
